I had 9 months to go before the Ironman when I met Jason, and I was very fortunate to have found him. I was blown away by his enthusiasm and passion for coaching.
The program he designed for me was very realistic and it fit within my lifestyle. Of course, I had to make many sacrifices as the training became longer and more intense, but Jason’s weekly emails (sometimes daily emails!) and regularly scheduled phone calls were very supportive and they helped to keep me motivated. His advice and explanations as to WHY I was doing a certain training week made it easier for me to do them.
Jason listened to how I was feeling and how my body was responding to the training schedule. He then offered advice and/or revised my training schedule to help me get through that week. He never made me feel as though I should give up! He always encouraged me to keep going but at the same time, listen to my body.
As a result of Jason’s motivational skills, and his ability to listen and structure a proper training program for me, I was able to cross the finish line injury-free.
But most importantly, I finished strong and with a smile.
